Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb beef stew meat. (I had chuck roast that I cut up.)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots sliced
- 1 stalk celery, sliced
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 10.5 oz cans condensed beef consomme
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 2 cups frozen cheese-filled tortellini
- 1 can green beans (drained)
1. Add beef, onion, carrot, celery, garlic, sugar, tomatoes, and beef consomme, and basil to slow cooker. Stir.
2. Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 9 hours.
3. About 25 minutes before serving stir in frozen tortellini and green beans. Cook on High about 25 minutes or until tortellini are cooked.
